‘This sophisticated chocolate sculpture is often given to VIPs. Please make sure it reflects you as a team and makes me smile.

She continued: ‘It needs to be refined, it needs to be original and above all, it needs to blow my mind.’

Benoit explained: ‘The chocolate feature is an opportunity for them to be very creative, show us a little bit of yours with a pretty simple design.’

Benoit called the challenge an ‘eight out of 10’ in terms of technicality, adding: ‘This is one of my favorites to eat, who doesn’t love Mont Blanc?

‘Slightly tart cake, almond cream, crunchy French meringue, creme Chantilly, everything topped with chestnut cream.’

As the judges toured their workstation, the pair explained how they planned to make the tarts—but in a critical mistake, they said they planned to put the meringue on the outside instead of the chestnut cream.

And as work progressed, it didn’t get any better for the team, with the two describing their plan to keep their meringues in the fridge—without baking them.

Although Aline and Nina are immediately disappointed, Benoit tells them that their pastries ‘do not look like Mont Blanc.’

He said: ‘I am unfortunately very far from my trip to the Alps. Convenience…remind me who it should represent?’

Benoit and Cherish both questioned 'what was meant for the sculpture to represent' before breaking out in laughter.
