Police hunt as 70 year-old man attacked so badly at cash machine he lost his hearing

A 70-year-old man has lost hearing in one ear after he was violently robbed while withdrawing cash from an ATM.

A man in the northwest approached the victim from behind, attacked him and threw him to the ground londonThe Metropolitan Police Said. A woman stole money from an ATM in a “premeditated attack” as the man lay unconscious.

On Sunday 31 March officers were called to Ealing Road, Wembley and found the victim with a fractured skull.

He has since lost hearing in one ear and now has trouble walking, which means he has had to stop working. Both the suspects fled the scene and on Saturday meet They have released CCTV footage which they say shows the pair discussing in the street.

Detective Sergeant Muhammad Ahmed, of the Priority Crime Unit covering Wembley, said: “We have examined many hours of CCTV and we are confident we know who we are looking for – a woman wearing fur with camouflage trousers. He can be seen roaming around in a hoodie the area where the ATM machine is.

“The same woman can then be seen talking with another suspect, a man with a black beard wearing a jacket with the hood up.

“CCTV later shows both of them running away after the robbery.

“I am appealing to the public for help – if you know or recognize any of the suspects, please come to police.

“This was a pre-planned attack in which an elderly man was injured.”
