Authorities in Hong Kong said they were conducting search and rescue operations for more than two dozen sailors in the South China Sea after a ship broke in half during a storm.
The Hong Kong Government Flying Service said in a social-media post on Saturday that the engineering vessel suffered heavy damage after it was caught near the center of Typhoon Chaba, about 186 miles southwest of the city.
