London Drugs begin gradual reopening in Western Canada store After six days of closure.

The closures were due to a cybersecurity “incident” that occurred last Sunday.

London Drugs said that not all of its systems have fully recovered, but that it will not delay reopening, as it “understands the need to meet the health care and everyday needs of its customers.”

Pharmacists are standing by at all store locations to meet urgent care needs, Chen said.

“We are pleased to announce that we are gradually reopening stores in a safe, secure and orderly manner to take care of our customers’ needs,” says Clint Mahlman, President and Chief Operating Officer.

“We are grateful for the patience and support of our customers and suppliers as we work to return all services and systems at our stores to full operation following this cybersecurity incident.”

London Drugs said the only system being used “has been thoroughly tested for security and verified by third-party cyber security experts.”

The business said that at this point in its investigation, it has found no evidence that any customer databases were compromised, including databases of pharmacy patients and LDExtra members.

Canada Post locations are also accessible inside the store.

The cybersecurity incident closed more than 80 locations in BC, Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba.
