In a release, the Woodstock police force said officers responded to a call about a fire at a residence at 732 Main Street around 1:31 a.m. Saturday.
Woodstock Fire Department personnel arrived on scene and extinguished the fire.
“During a search of the structure after the fire, bodies of two people were found,” the release said.
