NCIS: Hawaii fans left furious by cancelled show’s ‘cruel’ cliffhanger ending

NCIS: Airport Fans are mourning the show’s cancellation after seeing how the series ended.

This was revealed last month cbsshortly after Cancellation of long running series elite, had decided to discontinue the NCIS spin-off. The audience did not take this decision lightly.

The timing of the cancellation – two weeks before the show’s third season ended – particularly upset fans who were worried that the show would not provide a satisfying conclusion.

As the police procedural series finale aired on Monday (May 7), these fears were realized when the episode ended on a huge cliffhanger.

Everything was going well when the episode bid farewell to the main cast in the form of a surprise party thrown for Jane (Vanessa Lachey).

Sam (ll cool j), Ernie (Jason Antoon), Jesse (Noah Mills), Lucy (Yasmine Al-Bustami) and Kai (Alex Tarrant) are all seen making a toast before going back to work.

However, the episode does not end here.

In an additional scene, Jane returns home to find her old mentor Maggie (Julie White) waiting for her with an ominous message: “Jenny, you’re probably going to need a drink for what’s about to happen next.”

This cliffhanger angered fans who were already upset about the show’s cancellation, as they would never know what Maggie was going to tell Jane.

“This is not how #NCISHawaii ended after the season was shortened and canceled after the strike,” one disappointed fan wrote, while another wrote: “WTH kind of ending!!!” This is very cruel to the fans.

“When you finish something it should be over and everyone moves on but it’s not over!! As a fan I can’t get over the show, I’ll always wonder what was going to happen next.

One angry fan said: “It’s absolutely wrong to leave fans with this cliffhanger, at least bring it back with the question answered.”

However, some fans have been inspired to fight for the show’s renewal, writing: “A happy ending would be sad, it would be resignation and almost acceptance but… the cliffhanger inspires us to keep fighting because # NCISHawai’s story is not like this and there is more to tell, let’s fight!
