Suspect wanted after vehicle theft and carjacking – Winnipeg | Globalnews.ca

Police are looking for suspects after a long 30-minute period, which included a pair of stolen vehicles and a carjacking.

This happened around 7:15 p.m. on July 6, when officers spotted a stolen vehicle heading west on Goulet Street.

The police chased, but backed out because of the suspect’s driving style. Vehicles collided with each other on the Queen Elizabeth Bridge and continued on.

Eventually, the vehicle made its way into Archibald’s 600-block, where the two suspects got out of the car and jumped into another vehicle that had previously been stolen.

Police noticed this and began chasing him again, but the vehicle eventually began driving the wrong way down Marion Street, stopping the chase once again.

At around 7:45 p.m., police were informed that a carjacking occurred in the parking lot of a church in the 300 block of Monroe Avenue after a woman in her 70s was pulled over from a rental vehicle by the same suspects. He was treated for minor injuries.
