Police now say a body found in an open field in the south end of London, Ont., is that of a woman and her death does not appear suspicious.

At 8:30 a.m. on Friday, a citizen called the police to locate a dead body in the field near Parkwood Hospital in the area of ​​Wellington Road and Commissioner’s Road East.

The police reached the spot and decided that the person had died.

No further identifying information has been released.

The update follows several ongoing investigations into recent local searches of bodies in public places.

On Wednesday, another body of a woman was retrieved from the River Thames between the streets of King and York.

Investigators said Thursday they do not believe the death is suspicious.

Additionally, the OPP said that the body of a woman was recovered in Port Burwell on Saturday.

Police said that a person was reported missing after 6 pm on Friday.

Shortly after 6:45 p.m., emergency teams found the body of the missing man near the marina on Bridge Street.

According to OPP, the person has been identified as Cindy Stoke, 54, of Vienna, Ont.

The investigation into all three incidents is ongoing.
