Chinese firm blacklisted for a month over ‘fake’ documents

Lahore: The National Transmission and Despatch Company (NTDC) has blacklisted a Chinese firm and barred it from participating in all tenders/bidding process for a month.

The state-owned subsidiary of the Ministry of Power (Power Division) blacklisted the firm on allegations of forging and submitting forged documents to the concerned department during bidding for a project, dawn has learned.

“[The Chinese firm] All NTDCs are blacklisted and banned in the bidding/tendering process with immediate effect for a period of one month due to submission of forged and forged documents,” a release issued a few days back from the office of General Manager, NTDC reads the letter.

“However, this office order shall have a prospective effect in its context and shall not apply to the existing contracts (if any) under execution,” the letter, titled ‘Blacklisting of Sugar Firms / Tender No. NPP-04M(R)’ Is. )-2020 K-2/K-3 Insulator hardware assemblies including pre-RTV-coated 160kN disc insulators (anti-fog type, porcelain or glass) for 500 kV d/c quad bundle transmission lines for power extraction from nuclear power Plants for purchase’, reads.

Copies of the letter have also been sent to the Managing Director (MD) of NTDC, Chairman of Water and Power and Development Authority and Pakistan Engineering Council, MD of National Engineering Services Pakistan and Public Procurement Regulatory Authority, Central Power Purchasing Agency. Guaranty Chief Operating Officer (CEO) as well as CEO of all power distribution companies.
