2 girls from Muktsar, Faridkot, Canada died in Canada accident after being hit by goods train

An 18-year-old girl from Raniwala village in Muktsar died while her cousin from the same village sustained multiple injuries in the car after it collided with a goods train at a railway crossing near Brampton last night. A girl from Faridkot district also died in a road accident.

The deceased has been identified as Jashanpreet Kaur, who had gone to Canada for studies about a month ago.

ASI Gurpratap Singh, a resident of Raniwala village, said, “After a road accident, my niece Jashanpreet Kaur died in a hospital in Canada, while my 21-year-old daughter Palampreet Kaur, who is around 21, died in a hospital there. He said that the driver of the car is also a resident of Patiala district. “My nephew is in Canada. He has informed us that two girls, including my niece, have died. He said the girls were going to work night shifts in an automobile spare parts factory when the accident happened. The car was provided by the factory management for the purpose of closure.
