Woven from waste: Ayushmann Khurrana makes a case for upcycled luxury fashion with this look

NS Badhai Ho The actor’s fashion usually leans towards street style and athleisure with traditional wear. But she took her fashion game up several notches with her latest look.

Ayushmann was recently seen sporting a creation ace designer gaurav gupta – a white and gold gilded bomber jacket designed to be “made with wrappers of crisps and biscuits using cloth, plastic bottles and other daily consumables that have been excavated from oceans and landfills”, as That’s what the designer said.

The fabric is from Ecokari, a social enterprise that creates upcycled, handcrafted clothing from landfill waste such as waste plastic bags and wrappers.

Earlier this year at Lakme Fashion Week, the designer presented a 48-piece collection with couture, demi-couture and ready-to-wear made using fabric made from plastic waste from sea and land.

Styled by Isha Bhansali, the actor began the promotions with a head-to-toe Gucci look, followed by street style ensembles and Gucci shoes by Rising Among others. Directed by Abhishek Kapoor, the film will release on December 10.
