Woman dies after being hit by deer in Cochrane area, man hospitalized – Calgary | Globalnews.ca

According to the RCMP, one of the two people taken to the hospital died in a motorcycle collision in the Cochrane area on Tuesday.

Police said that at 1:13 p.m., emergency responders were called to the accident on Highway 22 north of the fireside gate

A 67-year-old man riding a motorcycle and a 56-year-old woman on a bike were taken to hospital in critical condition.

Soon after 7 pm, the RCMP provided an update and said that the woman died of her injuries, while the man’s condition had not changed.

“The Cochrane RCMP extends its deepest condolences to the families and loved ones affected by this tragedy,” police said in a news release.
