It’s a very busy day at the Regina Exhibitions Association Ltd. (REAL) District regina as sports teams and frost Festival-goers make their way to the district.

There are a number of developments taking place that will affect accessibility and parking, including:

  • Frost from noon to 10 p.m. in Real, including events at the Vitera International Trade Center, Confederation Park, and the surrounding area, with fireworks starting in the park at 10 p.m.
  • AffinityPlex will air soccer programming throughout the day.

Hockey

  • Regina Pats game at 7 p.m. with doors opening at 6 p.m. at the Brandt Center
  • University of Regina Cougars women’s hockey game at 3 p.m.
  • Hockey Regina U13A Hockey Tournament – The Co-Operative Center
  • Sledge Hockey Tournament – Cooperative Center

In addition, access to the REAL district will be restricted through traffic.

“We will be providing free on-site parking, however, spaces will be limited,” REAL said in a release. “Premium priority exit parking available directly in front of Viterra International Trade Center ($10/vehicle).”

A free Frost Shuttle is available from other hubs (Warehouse District, Wascana and Downtown Core) starting at 12 noon.

All Pats ticket holders will be given free admission to Frost by showing their ticket at the gate of the Brandt Center or Vitera International Trade Center to receive a wristband.

“With limited on-site parking available, you are encouraged to carpool with others, use rider share or taxi services, or take public transportation,” REAL said.

“We ask for your patience and understanding as our staff work to make sure everyone reaches their destinations. Please plan ahead and aim to arrive early.”
