U.N. Seeks $160 Million for Pakistan Flood Relief

ISLAMABAD—The United Nations is appealing for $160 million in flood relief for Pakistan to help millions of people affected by monsoon rains that have left more than 1,100 dead since June.

Pakistan has estimated that the floods will cause damage of more than $10 billion, with immediate relief operations costing more than $1 billion. More than 30 million people have been affected, or about 15% of the population.
