This easy samosa recipe will add flavor to your rainy evening

NS rainy season Makes us crave for some delicious and hot fried snacks that can satisfy our taste buds. However, this season also brings with it health concerns. Thus, it is best to avoid street food which can often be unhealthy.

However, you can create the magic of street food in your kitchen. Try this easy samosa recipe shared by the chef Sanjeev Kapoor To keep your evening hunger at bay.

Component

*4 medium potatoes, boiled, peeled and cut into inch pieces
*Samosa flour as required
* 1 tbsp ghee as required
*1 tsp cumin
*1 finely chopped green chili
* 1 inch finely chopped ginger
*1/4 cup green peas
*1 tsp red chili powder
*1 tsp amchur powder
* 1/2 tsp garam masala powder
*salt to taste
*1 tbsp chopped fresh coriander leaves
*oil for frying
*To serve tomato ketchup

Way

  1. Heat 1 tbsp ghee in a non stick pan, add cumin seeds, green chillies and ginger, mix and sauté for 30 seconds. Add potatoes, mix and mash well.
  2. Add green peas, red chilli powder, mango powder, garam masala powder and salt, mix and cook for 1 minute. Add coriander leaves and mix well. Take out in a bowl and cool to room temperature.
  3. Divide the dough into equal portions, make balls out of them and apply some ghee on each circle. Grease the worktop with some ghee, keep each portion and roll it into a rectangular sheet. Fold each sheet in half horizontally.
  4. Heat enough oil in a pan.
  5. Shape each half sheet into a cone, fill with some potato mixture, apply some water on the edges, bring them together and press to seal and shape the samosas.
  6. Drop the samosas into the hot oil and deep-fry on a medium flame till they turn golden brown and crisp. Take out on absorbent paper.
    Place the samosas on a serving plate and serve hot with tomato ketchup.
