Technical fault in Air India flight with Union Minister Shobha Karandlaje

On Sunday, a Bengaluru-Hyderabad-bound plane returned to the runway minutes before take-off due to a technical snag.

Air India flight 9I 517 was to depart Bengaluru at 6.45 pm on Sunday and reach its destination Hyderabad at 8.15 pm.

But the flight returned to the parking bay just before take off due to a technical problem.

Union Minister of State for Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Shobha Karandlaje was also among the passengers on board.

Since he is a Union Minister, the airline officials contacted him and requested him to get down and wait in the VIP Long till further arrangements are made.

Air India later arranged another flight for its passengers to Hyderabad.
