According to the Meteorological Department, till January 10, the weather will be bad in the entire state. A yellow alert has been issued for heavy rain and snowfall on January 8 and 9. According to the report of the State Disaster Authority Cell, 352 roads, 400 transformers and 44 drinking water schemes remained closed in the state on Thursday. The maximum number of 168 roads are closed in Lahaul-Spiti district.

Traffic was disrupted on 62 roads in Kinnaur, 55 in Chamba, 51 in Kullu, 9 in Shimla and 8 in Mandi. In Kullu, 146 transformers of electricity remained closed. Kothi recorded 70 cm of snowfall in the last 24 hours.

It is snowing continuously in Lahaul Spiti and surrounding areas. Traffic has been stopped towards the south portal of Atal Tunnel. Here 150 cm. It has snowed. From Dhundi towards South Portal, there is 250 cm of snowfall. The traffic system has been affected due to the closure of many roads. Also, Keylong was the coldest in the state. The minimum temperature is -3 degree in Kalpa, -1.8 degree in Kufri, -0.9 degree in Dalhousie, -0.2 degree in Manali, 2.5 degree in Shimla. has been registered.
