Sippy Sidhu murder case: Court rejects Kalyani’s bail plea

Holding that the accused in the case is an influential person who can tamper with the evidence, or influence the witnesses, the special CBI court in Chandigarh has ruled the murder of advocate and national level shooter Sukhmanpreet Singh Sidhu alias Sippy Sidhu. Earlier, seeking bail, Kalyani’s lawyer Sartej Singh Narula argued that Kalyani has been falsely implicated in the case without any evidence. It was argued that Sidhu’s postmortem report would show that Kalyani had not shot him in the range mentioned in the report, and that only someone taller than Sidhu could have fired those shots.

Advocate Narula further argued that Sidhu had “six girlfriends and several property disputes” as per the CBI investigation.

He argued that it was clear from his e-mails that he was being bullied by someone, and therefore, that person could be responsible for his death.

It was argued that Kalyani’s motive for killing Sidhu was that he was not marrying her, while documents show that he was always making efforts to be with her, and Kalyani herself did not keep in touch. had decided. Narula argued that Kalyani never called Sidhu on the day of his death and the statement of Kalyani’s family has been recorded in this regard.

CBI Public Prosecutor PK Dogra argued that Kalyani was deceived even during her polygraph test. According to the evidence collected, Advocate Dogra, Kalyani argued that Kalyani made calls to Sidhu from the phones of others whose testimony has been recorded. It was said that he later deleted these call records, which came to the fore during the investigation. Dogra said, Sidhu’s mother said that on the day of his death, she had told him that he was going to meet Kalyani.
