Singer Shaan pays special tribute to him KK Singing, aptly, one of the late artist’s most popular songs – “Moment” from the album of the same name. Shaan shared the video on his Instagram profile as he sang the song in front of the audience. Before singing the song, he explained how the song fits the occasion and as soon as he started singing, the crowd erupted in joy. As soon as the song played, pictures of KK with Shaan appeared on the big screen behind them. Shaan shared that his special nickname for the late singer was ‘Kex’.

Both KK and Shaan made headlines with indie music albums before finding success as playback singers in Hindi films. He also worked on many popular songs like “Koi Kahe Kehte Rahe” and “Dus Bahane”.
Shaan had earlier shared an emotional tribute to KK on his Instagram profile. He posted a collage of pictures with his late friend. He wrote, ‘I just pretend you’re here.. we never spoke regularly.. I’ve said ‘I want to be like KK’ as material, when it comes to his personal space. If so, be straightforward and don’t compromise. If his priority was totally.. but I realize.. there can be no one like @kk_live_now!! He will always be ‘The One and Only’.. I can’t even imagine what Jyo, Nakul and Tamara are up to.. All I can say is that he has given them 20 lifetime warmers than any average family. Gave memories.. man.”
53-year-old KK passed away in Kolkata on Tuesday. He was in the city for a two-day concert and fell ill during an event at Nazrul Manch. He is survived by his wife and two children.
