Lange, Sask., rink after ladder video goes viral
Rusty Sobchuk, a volunteer at the Lange Rink, says the rink was built in 1928.
She says the small community has volunteers at the rink who help keep the building sustainable.
Sobchuk said they are still pushing the Zamboni to keep the ice.
First indigenously owned investment group formed in Saskatchewan
Rob Woods of Wiyotiwisin Investment Management Company says he has created the first Indigenous-owned investment group in Canada.
Woods says it is a profitable business that will allow First Nations to exercise their mandate in a unique way.
He said this is not a new business model, but he expects more firms to do similar things in the future.
USSK announces library’s third Indigenous Storyteller-in-Residence
Bruce Sinclair was named the University of Saskatchewan Library’s third Indigenous Storyteller-in-Residence.
Sinclair is a Métis theater artist and teacher.
He discusses the importance of storytelling and says that the art of conversation is in crisis.
