A Regina man is facing multiple charges after a four-month police investigation.

regina police Authorities said officers arrested 22-year-old Caleb Ryder on Sunday and initially charged him with certain firearms-related offenses.

Then on Thursday an auto theft investigation discovered the rider as well. He was taken to a provincial correctional center and charged with several more crimes, including:

  • Seven counts of possession of a stolen vehicle worth more than $5,000
  • two counts of possession of a stolen vehicle under $5,000
  • carry a concealed weapon
  • Unauthorized possession of a prohibited device or ammunition in a vehicle
  • possession of a firearm, knowing that its possession is unauthorized
  • Reckless use of a firearm, weapon, prohibited equipment or ammunition
  • Two counts of possessing a firearm or ammunition contrary to a prohibition order
  • two counts of failing to stop after an accident
  • resisting arrest
  • Fraud under $5,000
  • Eight counts of failure to comply with conditions of release order

Arrest warrants were also executed by Saskatoon and Moose Jaw police on Ryder for charges related to vehicle theft, breaking and entering, and weapons offenses.

Ryder made his first provincial court appearance on Friday.
