Peru’s anti-government protests are turning increasingly deadly

LIMA, Peru – Anti-government protesters in Peru clash with police in the tourist hub of Cusco, the gateway to the Inca citadel of Machu Picchu, as an embroiled government struggles violent protests The rowing cities of the high Andes that have claimed 40 lives in the past five weeks.
