India to tour New Zealand for white ball series after T20 World Cup

New Zealand Cricket (NZC) on Tuesday said that India will tour New Zealand for a series of three T20 Internationals and as many ODIs after the World T20 in Australia. The series will be held from November 18 to 30 and New Zealand will return to India in January next year for a white-ball series.

“India will arrive in New Zealand at the conclusion of the World Cup to play three T20Is in Wellington, Tauranga and Napier and three ODIs in Auckland, Hamilton and Christchurch for the Blackcaps,” NZC said in a release.

“The Blackcaps will then depart for the subcontinent for a tour of Pakistan and a short form series in India, to prepare for two Tests before returning in early February. England – in Tauranga (d/n) and Wellington.”

India will once again play the fifth Test against England starting Friday, apart from playing three T20Is and as many ODIs at the Old Blight.

India will tour the West Indies for a series of three ODIs and five T20 Internationals in July-August ahead of the T20 World Cup.

In a packed international schedule, New Zealand will also play a day-night Test against England, while six teams tour the country in the home summer of 2022–23.

Apart from India, other touring teams include men’s teams from Pakistan, Bangladesh, England and Sri Lanka and Bangladesh women’s.

One of the key features of the schedule is the opening of England’s series at the Bay Oval, starting February 16 – the first day-night Test in New Zealand since the Blackcaps defeated the same opposition by an innings at Eden Park in 2018. was.
