US-Mexico border Fox News has learned that more than half a million known “getaways” have sneaked into the US since fiscal year 2022 began October 1.
Several senior Homeland Security sources told Fox News of the growing number of known escapes — illegal immigrants who were seen crossing the border but never caught — with three months left in FY22.
That number has already eclipsed the 389,155 known gotaways that DHS Secretary Alexander Meyerkas All those certified earlier were in FY’21.
According to DHS sources, there have been an average of over 55,000 known getaways per month in FY22.
