Now, Kshatriya protest at BJP’s Bhavnagar event

A day after Kshatriya protesters were briefly detained ahead of the inauguration of BJP’s election office at Savli in Vadodara, members of the community disrupted a BJP public meeting and the inauguration of a party office in Bhavnagar on Friday.

BJP’s Bhavnagar Lok Sabha candidate Nimuben Bambhania and Bhavnagar West MLA Jitu Vaghani, along with other leaders, were on a spree to open five election offices at various wards of Bhavnagar city.

At the very first event, within seconds after Vaghani and Bambhania’s arrival at the office at Kaliyabid, several men were seen marching across the road in protest against Union Minister and BJP Rajkot candidate Parshottam Rupala, raising slogans like ‘Rupala hai hai’ and waving black bands.

Police personnel deployed at the site went on to detain several protesters. Bhavnagar SP Harshad Patel said that while 12 people were detained, no FIR was lodged.
