Bangalore News Live: Karnataka reports 405 new Covid-19 cases, four related deaths

The Karnataka government has decided to build a metro depot at the ground level by scrapping the earlier plan of an elevated depot at Chalghat along NICE Road and Mysore Road. Officials of the Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) said that a high-powered committee headed by the Chief Secretary with representatives from all transport bodies, including the Directorate of Urban Land Transport, recently took a unanimous decision on the issue.

The Narcotics Control Bureau in Bengaluru has arrested an African drug smuggler and seized drugs worth Rs 1.5 crore. NCB Bangalore zonal director Amit Ghawte identified those arrested on Friday as Benjamin Sunday. The director said he is wanted in two drug seizures in Chennai and is involved in two Australian drug seizures. Ghawate said that we have been able to seize 968 grams of amphetamine and 2.889 kilograms of ephedrine.
