American soccer coach Jesse Marsch sacked by Leeds United

US coach Jesse Marsh was sacked from his post on Monday leeds united managerA statement from the club confirmed.

Sunday’s defeat at Nottingham Forest was only the latest in a string of poor results that have left the Premier League club dangerously close to the relegation zone. The team has not won a league match since a win over Bournemouth in early November.

“We are struggling to convert performances into results,” Marsh said after the Forest game. “We’ve been in this place for a while.”

The last time Leeds were relegated from the top flight, it was not able to find its way back for 16 years. Aware of the possibility of this happening again, Leeds supporters took their frustrations out on the manager during Sunday’s match.

Club ownership, consisting of Andrea Radrizzani and 49ers Enterprises, heard. The American was sacked nearly a year after legendary coach Marcelo Bielsa was let go by the club himself.

The move comes after a record-breaking transfer window in January English club, which saw 10 income and outgoings and an expenditure of approximately £50 million. Weston McKennie, an American international, was brought in on loan from Juventus to bolster a fast-paced American midfield. Georginio Rutter, signed on a permanent deal from Hoffenheim, is the club’s new record signing.

Marsh was also seen in the window by his friend and fellow American coach Chris Armas, who had recently assisted Ralph Rangnick at Manchester United.

After a short-lived stint with Germany’s RB Leipzig, Marsh became only the third American to manage in the Premier League when he joined Leeds.

Even the 2022-2023 season, as it was, saw Marsh capable of besting Liverpool at Anfield and thrashing Chelsea at home.
