Agricultural laws withdrawn in the interest of the country: Yogi Adityanath – India Times Hindi News

SP chief attacked Akhilesh Yadav On the Jinnah controversy, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Saturday said those who are ‘rioters’, ‘Jinnah’s followers’, how can they understand ‘sugarcane ki sweets’. Before 2017 the condition of farmers in UP was pathetic. He said that now the farmer is moving ahead on the path of prosperity under the able guidance of the Prime Minister.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath was in Gonda to lay the foundation stone of Asia’s largest ethanol plant to be built on 65.61 acres at Maijapur Sugar Mills. Yogi said that this plant, to be built with Rs 450 crore, will be ready by May 2022. About 60,000 farmers will benefit from this plant and 250 people will get direct employment.

Along with this, Yogi also mentioned about the farmers’ movement. He said that all the three agricultural laws have been withdrawn in the interest of the country. “After 2017 the BJP government under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi has worked to change the fortunes and picture of the state,” he said.

Taking a jibe at the previous governments, the Chief Minister said that earlier when the prices of petroleum products increased in the international market, some part of it was snatched away as profits by the people involved in anti-India activities. “Our own money was misused against us. Now the situation has changed,” he said.

He said that before the BJP-led UP government, farmers were committing suicide in large numbers in the state. “The farmer was working hard to produce food, but there was no arrangement for his purchase. People were dying of hunger. Farmers are compelled to commit suicide due to not getting proper price for their produce. There used to be hooliganism in the state,” he said.

The CM said that before the year 2017, middlemen used to buy the produce of the farmers. The profit margin was low and the farmer felt cheated. He said that today every farmer is being given the benefit of minimum support scheme.

In a scathing attack on the SP and BSP, the CM said, ‘Earlier ‘bua and babua’ did not get development work done. Electricity, toilets and houses could have been provided to the poor earlier also, but this was not done. All the ration used to go to Saifai, but now when the government changed, everyone started getting facilities.

He further said that earlier work was done in the name of nepotism whereas today the government is working for the welfare of every poor.

The Chief Minister said that when the SP was in power, there were many deaths due to hunger in Kushinagar, Sonbhadra and Chitrakoot.

He said, ‘When I went to Kushinagar to inquire about the matter as MP of Gorakhpur, I found that the ration card of the family of Musahar community was with some SP leader.
