4-year-old girl and her father are in hospital after serious collision ajax Police say Friday morning
Durham Regional Police said there was a report of a collision at around 6:15am at the Taunton Road West and Westney Road North intersection in Ajax.
According to police, a westbound gray Ford pickup truck and an eastbound gold Volkswagen Jetta were involved in a head-on collision.
Officials said that, as a result, a 37-year-old man was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.
“His 4-year-old daughter was also taken to a Toronto-regional trauma unit, where she is in serious but stable condition,” police said Friday.
A second child in the car and the driver of the Ford pickup truck were uninjured.
Police said roads were closed for several hours after the collision while evidence was being collected.
