For the first time in a generation, no captain new York Yankees Was thrown out of a game.
aaron judge Got the boot after arguing strike three in the bottom of the seventh inning of Saturday’s Yankees-Tigers game.
It’s quite impressive that this was Judge’s first rejection since joining the big leagues in 2016, considering that no one in baseball has had more balls called strikes down the zone since the beginning of MLB. (His fourth-highest total anywhere outside the region.)

The judge called for strike on a borderline pitch on the outer corner. Clearly upset by the call, he said something to the home plate umpire, ryan blackney,
The Yankee outfielder made his way to the dugout but it appeared the call was “bulls–t” – then Blakeney tossed him.
Manager Aaron Boone, who has had the most ejections since becoming manager in 2018, came out of the dugout to discuss the ejections as the judge returned to plead his case.
Blackney appeared to reply to the judge, “You’re not going to tell me these are bulls–t.”

During the next at-bat, the Yankee crowd chanted, “Ump, you suck.” Trent Grisham took over in center field.
The last Yankee captain, Derek Jeter, was never ejected in his 20-year career, so Saturday marked the first time the Bronx Bombers captain has been ejected in quite some time.
The Yanks were defeating Detroit 5–3 at the time of the ejection – Judge had gone 2-for-4 with an RBI double.
This was the most animated experience Judge has had in quite some time (although one could argue whether it still warrants removal). Maybe it’s a little angry because of his slow start. Entering the day, Judge was hitting .200.

The Yankees got off to a great start by winning 10 of their first 12 games of the season. They have calmed down since then, going 11-11.
