Woman gang-raped on the pretext of job, case registered against three – India Times Hindi News

Jind (Haryana), Jan 13 (PTI) The district police have registered a case of raping three people, including a stone trader from Rajasthan, on the pretext of getting jobs. He said a 20-year-old woman hailing from Rajasthan’s Sawai Madhopur district had lodged a police complaint in December last year alleging gang rape of her on two occasions. According to the complaint, she knew a stone trader named Charan Singh Meena, who had asked her to get a job here. He said that he has rented a room for her near the railway station. She further alleged that she was first gang raped on December 18 when her husband had gone to work. She alleged that the contractor and two others Sonu and Sharif came into the room and gang-raped her. According to the complaint, on December 20 also, he gang-raped her and threatened dire consequences if she informs anyone. She said that she returned to her village and lodged a complaint against the three at the Gaganpur police station in Sawai Madhopur. The police there registered zero FIR and referred it to the concerned police station here.

Jind Nagar police station in-charge Dinesh Kumar said that on the basis of zero FIR from Gaganpur police station, further action is being taken by registering a case against three people including the contractor.
