Three suspects have been charged after a “roaming robbery” near Canada’s Wonderland von On Thursday afternoon where the victims were sprayed with pepper, police Say.

York Regional Police said that around 3 p.m., officers responded to reports of street level looting in the area of ​​Jane Street and Avro Road, south of Major Mackenzie Drive.

Police said officers traced four teenage girls who had been “swarmed” by a group of youths.

“Three female suspects approached the victims, sprayed pepper, assaulted a victim and stole her cell phone,” police said.

Minor injuries were reported.

York police launched Operation Beehive earlier this month, aimed at combating herd-style robberies in the Canadian region of Wonderland.

As part of the operation, investigators have made three arrests in connection with Thursday’s incident.

Jordan Johnson-Fournier, 18, a 15-year-old girl and a 13-year-old girl, all from Toronto, have been charged.

He was charged with dacoity, assault, assault with a weapon, administering injurious substance and taking possession of property obtained from the crime.

Police said that investigation is on.

Police urged any additional victims of this type of crime to contact investigators. Witnesses who have not yet spoken to the authorities have also been asked to come forward.

“The officers will be active in the area to deal with the issue,” the police said.

“Investigators continue to work with community members and business owners in the area to collect video surveillance, report incidents, and hold those responsible for these crimes.”

Earlier this week, York Regional Police announced that 12 minors had been indicted as a result of Operation Beehive.
