UPDATE: Police need help finding the man who ran over the brother-in-law during a Christmas party fight

Lawrenceville, Ga. (CBS46) – Police need help finding a man they say killed his brother-in-law with his truck.

Gwinnett County Police say the incident happened Saturday morning at Windsor Oak Circle in unincorporated Lawrenceville.

According to police, the Christmas party began at around 5 p.m. Friday, and a fight broke out between Juan Davila, 41, and his brother-in-law, 34, Ernesto Pelayo, in the backyard of a house early Saturday.

Police said after the fight broke out, Pelayo got into his truck and allegedly ran over Davila, who confronted him.

When the police reached the spot, they found Davila lying in an injured condition in the street. He was taken to the nearest hospital at around 5.15 am where he died.

Police believe the incident was intentional and will be treated as a homicide. Police also say that several witnesses in the house witnessed what happened, but it is not clear whether children living in the house also witnessed the incident.

Pelayo was last seen running from the scene driving a black Dodge Ram 3500, GA license plate #TAT2291.

He has active warrants for felony and aggravated assault.
