United Airlines pilots union leaders signed a tentative contract agreement that would increase pilots’ wages by more than 14% within 18 months.
United Airlines Holdings is the first major US carrier to strike a deal with its pilots, and the agreement, if approved by rank-and-file members, could serve as a reference point for other airlines currently in contentious contract negotiations .
