Dubai: The UAE sent a plane carrying 30 tonnes of food aid to help survivors of the devastating earthquake that killed 1,500 and injured several others, Emirates News Agency (WAM) reported on Friday.
WAM said the aid came after the UAE began operating an air bridge to help those affected by the earthquake.
The WAM statement said the relief is part of “the UAE’s efforts to support vulnerable and distressed communities in various countries”.
