Stock futures wavered, pointing to a second day of calmer trading as investors come to terms with recent indications that the Federal Reserve will have to take tougher action to combat inflation than many had hoped.
S&P 500 and Dow industrials futures were close to flat Thursday, after flipping between small gains and losses. Tech-focused Nasdaq-100 futures were down 0.1%. Global markets posted minor gains, with the Stoxx Europe 600 adding 0.1% and Japan’s Nikkei 225 closing 0.2% higher.
