The BJP on Sunday said the Tripura civic polls results have exposed the claims of the Trinamool Congress of making inroads in the northeastern state as “hollow”.
Terming Trinamool Congress workers campaigning in Tripura as “hire people”, BJP national vice president Dilip Ghosh told reporters here that his party has “strong relations” with the residents of the state.
He said that TMC will not be able to open its account in Tripura until the BJP decides to field a candidate from any seat.
“Civil election results are on expected lines. TMC didn’t have a chance to open account in Tripura, they just made noise. This verdict shows that the people of West Bengal have been hired to form a party in a state. Can’t help the one who has faith in BJP.
