OPP are investigating a multi-vehicle collision that left one of the drivers dead Central Huron on Thursday afternoon, marking the county’s first fatal crash of 2023.

The driver of the car was declared brought dead at the hospital. He has since been identified as Michael Oakes, 44, of Central Huron.

According to the police, the driver of the pickup van suffered minor injuries.

The driver of the transport truck has not reported any injuries.

The investigation is on.

Huron Road was closed around the site of the collision following the accident, but has since reopened.
