Bad weather wreaked havoc on the roads as residents of the Waterloo area woke up on Tuesday morning as dozens of collisions occurred in the area.

He said seven of those collisions involved injuries while police are also investigating hit-and-run collisions.

Environment Canada issued a warning on Monday night about frozen drizzle that had not cleared until after the commute to work ended Tuesday morning.

The agency warned that, “Surfaces such as highways, roads, sidewalks and parking lots can become icy and slippery.
