Streets in Whiteshell Provincial Park fully reopened while campgrounds remain closed – Winnipeg | Globalnews.ca

The streets of Whiteshell Provincial Park are officially back and running.

Manitoba Parks states that Provincial Road (PR) 307 is open along the North Whiteshell area from Seven Sisters Falls to Rainy, and is currently undergoing repairs.

Visitors to Whiteshell should expect delays and are advised to drive carefully to the repair crew.

The Caddy Lake tunnels have also been reopened, but Manitoba parks discourage paddling until the water level is low.

Many campgrounds affected by the floodwaters will still remain closed, including Rainbow Beach Provincial Park and Birch Point Provincial Park, until at least July 21. Otter Falls and White Lake Campgrounds are also closed until at least July 29.

Watercraft restrictions are still in place for the lakes in Nopiming and Whiteshell Provincial Parks.
