Navjot Kaur Sidhu, wife of former Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee (PPCC) president Navjot Singh Sidhu, former Congress MLA Hardayal Singh Kamboj and Sidhu’s lawyer HPS Verma met him at Patiala Central Jail in the first meeting on Friday. ,
Sidhu is understood to have told the trio that he was of “high spirits and law-abiding” and that he would continue to “fight for Punjab after coming out of jail”.
Last week, on Thursday, Sidhu was sentenced to one year rigorous imprisonment by the Supreme Court while deciding a review petition related to a 1988 road case where a 65-year-old man was punched by Sidhu over an alleged parking dispute. There was death after killing. ,
