Topsy said the investigation did not reveal that Blonde had violated the Code of Service Discipline or the Criminal Code of Canada.

However, he said the evidence showed that his action was “unacceptable and inconsistent with his duties and responsibilities as Formation Chief Petty Officer.”

Therefore, Topshi said that the RCN decided that it was necessary to remove Gora from his duties.

It is not clear what the blond commented and the nature of the comments.

Gora will continue to serve at RCN as no allegations have been made, but RCN stated that Gora “will not be in a position of senior leadership or influence where it is necessary to foster trust with junior members.”
