Second arrest made in Brantford homicide – Hamilton | globalnews.ca

Brantford, Ontario, police say they have arrested a second person in connection with the death of a 68-year-old man earlier this month.

On 5 December police arrested Kevin Gellis, 35, after attacking the victim at a residence on Market Street in Brantford.

He was arrested and charged with attempted murder, which was upgraded to first-degree murder after the man died from his injuries.

On December 10, Brantford police say they arrested another man — 28-year-old Calvin Clark — who now also faces first-degree murder charges.

It is not clear what led to the assault and police have not released the name of the deceased, saying too many details are included under a publication ban at this time.
