She claimed to be shipping the pictures wrapped in a bubble mailer to Florida, and was asking for an overnight shipment, which cost her $130.

Labrie asked a few more questions and learned that the mail she was actually sending was $7,000 in cash. She was told over the phone by a scamster that her grandson was in jail and that he needed to bail her out.

Labrie alerted him to the scandal and helped stop it from continuing, but the issues didn’t stop there.

On October 20, another customer came into the store with a bubble mailer claiming to have sent pictures. Next, there was this document.

“She said it was just documents. She couldn’t really explain who it was for or why,” Labrie said. He did not want to identify any of the victims.

He gave both clients the famous Clint Eastwood stare, the look where they lean in and lift their lips, “to let them know it was serious,” he said with a laugh.

Labry found that once again the customer was sending cash, specifically $8,000, to California to pay someone’s medical bills. Her “grandson” was reportedly in a car accident and hurt someone else.

A day before, someone came to the woman’s door and asked for money on the spot. He gave that person $10,000 – a loss he most likely could never get back.
