Saudi poets gather for Al-Yamamah Poetry Caravan

MAKKAH: The Kingdom has designated 2023 as the Year of Arabic Poetry in recognition of Saudi national heritage and culture and to celebrate, the Academy of Arabic Poetry launched the first events of this year’s Al-Yammah Poetry Caravan on 7 February .

Organized in collaboration with the Ministry of Culture’s Literature, Publication and Translation Commission, the caravan included Saudi poets Sultan al-Dait, Sultan al-Sabhayan, Mohammed al-Turki, Mujna al-Mubarak and Haifa al-Hamdan, who recited in different styles. and many other genres of poetry.
