Expelled AIADMK leader VK Sasikala, eyeing a political comeback, calls on the actor Rajinikanth On Monday evening at his residence in Poes Garden, Chennai.
According to a release from Sasikala’s office, he inquired about the actor’s health and congratulated him on receiving the Dadasaheb Phalke Award. Rajinikanth’s wife Latha was also present during the meeting, the release said.
The seventy-year-old actor was admitted to the city’s Kauvery Hospital on October 28 after suffering from dizziness. He later underwent revascularization of the carotid artery and was discharged from the hospital on 31 October.
On December 29 last year, weeks after announcing that he would launch a political party and contest the assembly elections, Rajinikanth backtracked and said that he would not enter politics due to his ill health and the pandemic situation. In the months that followed, the actor dissolved his political outfit Rajini Makkal Mandaram (RMM) and announced that he had no intention of entering politics in the future.
His latest film Annaatthe was released on Diwali this year.
