Russia launched extensive shelling before fresh attack: Ukraine

CHASIV YAR/KYIV, Ukraine: Russia fired artillery, multiple rocket launchers and tanks around Ukraine’s second-largest city Kharkiv and formerly shelled cities, where an earlier strike killed 15 people in an apartment building, Ukraine’s General Staff said on Monday.

Officials said an apartment building in Kharkiv was hit overnight by missiles, but no casualties were reported.
