New Delhi: Filmmaker Rohit Shetty’s popular comedy film series ‘Golmaal’ is one of the most loved films in the history of Indian cinema. So far four films have come in the name of this film series and according to the report of a news portal, Rohit Shetty is planning to make ‘Golmaal 5’.
Rohit Shetty, director of the ‘Golmaal’ series, talks about his plans to make ‘Golmaal 5’ during an interaction with BollywoodLife. When asked about ‘Golmaal 5’, Rohit Shetty was quoted as saying by the portal, “It will happen. As I am saying, it has been two years (lockdown and Sooryavanshi’s release). One such thing is Golmaal which can never end.
Ajay Devgn, Arshad Warsi, Tusshar Kapoor, Sanjay Mishra and Mukesh Tiwari played lead roles in four of Golmaal’s films. Shreyas Talpade appeared in three films of the series, while Kareena Kapoor Khan and Kunal Khemu appeared in two films of the ‘Golmaal’ franchise.
The ‘Golmaal’ franchise has four released films – ‘Golmaal: Fun Unlimited’, ‘Golmaal Returns’, ‘Golmaal 3’ and ‘Golmaal Again’.
Meanwhile, Rohit Shetty’s latest release Akshay Kumar starrer ‘Sooryavanshi’ revived the movie theater business in the country. It garnered praise from the audience for its entertainment dose. The film starred Katrina Kaif in lead roles and Ajay Devgn and Ranveer Singh in extended cameo roles, where they reprized their roles as Singham and Simmba respectively.
Rohit Shetty is currently busy shooting for Ranveer Singh starrer ‘Circus’, which will also feature Varun Sharma in a pivotal role. Pooja Hegde and Jacqueline Fernandez will be seen in the lead roles in the film. ‘Circus’ will reportedly release in theaters on July 15, 2022.
