Ranveer Singh confirms Simmba 2 will ‘definitely happen’: ‘Whenever Rohit Shetty will…’ – Bharat Times Hindi News

Bollywood star Ranveer Singh has confirmed that his popular cop character Sangram Bhalero from Rohit Shetty’s Simmba will return for a sequel. Ranveer revealed that Simmba intended to be a franchise from the beginning and it is his “favourite” character.

Ranveer told bollywoodlife.com about the Simmba sequel, “If God wills, it will definitely happen. It always intended to be a franchise. Whenever Rohit sir does, I will always be in the game because Simmba is my favorite character. Ranveer also starred in Rohit Shetty’s directorial debut Sooryavanshi, which released on Diwali last year. The actor-director duo will come together again for the film Circus, which stars Ranveer in a double role and is an adaptation of The Comedy of Errors by William Shakespeare.

In 2019, director Rohit Shetty said he plans to expand the “Desi Cop” universe, beginning with the Ajay Devgn-starrer “Singham” followed by Ranveer Singh’s “Simmba” and most recently Akshay Kumar. Worked with Kumar-fronted “Sooryavanshi”. ,

He said, “After creating the ‘Singham’ franchise, we thought of expanding the world of cops and that’s how ‘Simmba’ happened. For the first time we had merged two worlds – ‘Simba’ and ‘Singham’ and also added a new element with ‘Sooryavanshi’. It was a big risk but it worked,” Rohit told PTI.

Meanwhile, Rohit has confirmed that he will be directing Singham 3 with Ajay Devgn. At the end of his latest blockbuster, Sooryavanshi, Rohit teased the third installment of his popular Singham franchise starring superstar Ajay Devgn. The film’s climax gave rise to some speculation that the filmmaker would set the film in Kashmir, against the backdrop of abrogation of Article 370.
