Punjab Chief Minister Charanjit Channi said BSP sold Dalit interest to Akali Dal – Bharat Times English News

Punjab Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi on Wednesday said the Bahujan Samaj Party has sold the interests of Dalits to the Shiromani Akali Dal, with which it has forged an alliance for next month’s assembly polls. The Punjab Chief Minister also said that the party did not exist in the state and the BSP surrendered itself to the Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD). The BSP is fighting the Punjab Assembly elections in alliance with the Akali Dal and will field candidates on 20 of the 117 seats as per the seat-sharing arrangement.

Addressing an election rally in favor of Congress candidate Balwinder Singh Dhaliwal, the CM said, “BSP founder Kanshi Ramji had a vision and founded the party for the progress of ‘Samaj’ (SC community), but the present leadership of the party in the state ended the party. “BSP claims that it represents 35 per cent of the SC community, but it has accepted only 18 per cent seats, not 35 per cent,” he said. has very few possibilities.

He alleged that the Akalis have cleverly kept the seats with themselves. He said, “Out of 20 seats, the Akalis have cleverly fielded 13 of their candidates indirectly and in fact BSP has only seven candidates. BSP has sold tickets. So don’t spoil your vote as neither its neither the state president nor other leaders have any existence in Punjab.”

Continuing its stand against the BSP, Channi alleged that the SAD forged ties with the BJP and used the BSP to benefit its old ally. “People have seen from this Akali game that the BSP is being used only to benefit the BJP,” he said.

Channi also hit out at Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) national convener Arvind Kejriwal, claiming that the party spent Rs 400 crore to project the Delhi CM in Punjab. But when he did not get any reply, Kejriwal used the name of Bhagwant Mann to mislead the people, he said.

Channi said that he got only 111 days tenure as CM (before the model code of conduct came into force) and asked people to give another chance to the party for good governance and improving the condition of common man. He asked SAD chief Sukhbir Badal to imitate him by playing football, “even though he never played any game”.
